In the Year I turn forty, there is a shift in how I want to spend my time- doing things that push me a little, that require effort, and that really feel like they belong to me.
Strength training is where the consistency comes from. Three years of steady work, getting stronger week by week.
And now I’m nodding to some other things around that.
Hiking is new.- exploring the hills, walkings in the Peaks and gradually building my confidence on longer walks.
Running is new too. Something I am building from the beginning and seeing where it leads.
And cricket- this season we take a step further, spending more time at Edgbaston, following Warwickshire ,and hopefully visiting a few other grounds along the way.
So this becomes a record of my year.
The walks taken.
The runs attempted.
The hours in the gym.
Days at the cricket- and where all of that might lead.
Spending the year I turn forty doing more of the things that challenge me and keep me moving forward.
